Every hotel has an electrical room with a power generator and batteries. Upgrade them to increase the electricity supply so you can buy more power-consuming items. Every object will indicate its consumption in the dialog windows where they appear. Some of these objects could even reduce their power consumption at higher upgrades. 

 

If your game states that there is not enough energy, explore the map to find the electricity room where you can get more energy.
